Geoffrey Williams is professor of economics at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. His research interests include the economics of crime, international finance and economic history. His research has been published in an NBER conference volume as well as journals including Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization; American Economic Association, Papers and Proceedings; and Contemporary Economic Policy. His first book, co-authored with Robert Farley and Charles Dainoff, is Waging War with Gold: National Security and the Finance Domain Across the Ages.
